On msn 6.2 on the plus preferences you can remove the annoyingly large advertisement banner at the botttom of your main msn window. However on the new msn 7 i cannot find the option to do this :(:|. Is it possible to remove the banner whther its plus related or not i would be very greatful if someone could explain a solution :D:D.

patchou removed the "remove banner" feture because he felt that microsoft is trying to make  more money off msn 7 (just look at all the ads in it) so he removed the feture , other programs like stuffplug ( a plugin for plus!) copies this feture though.

Very strange...
The Stuffplug option "Hide advert banner in contact list" doesn't worked here.
Any idea?

My "configuration":
- Stuff Plug! ver.2.2.119
- Messenger Plus! 3.52.130
- MSN Messenger Version 7.0 (build 7.0.0777)
- Win XP Pro SP2

:^)

I had the same problem only with a older version of stuffplug, so I used  A-Patch to get rid of it...

BTW, It would be very cool if Ahmad, made a plugin instead of A-patch with the same functions.

I can use the a-patch without any problem?

I don't understanded this:
Important: Always patch on a clean unmodified version (running a-patch)

that means you can not be using a skin/another patch.
to make sure, you can go to
start -> configuration panel -> add/remove programs -> msn messenger 7 -> modify -> repair

once finished, it will be unmodified and you'll be able to apply a-patch :D

Messenger plus! can be used with a patch as messenger plus! is not a patch. It hooks onto MSN Messenger, so MSN can be run by itself.
