I have the new Windows Live Messenger. Everytime i go to use the cam, it goes 'not responding' so i have to restart msn amd it still doesn't work. Before today this have never happened before. I've had a scan on  and there is no Infections or viruses. Does anyone know how i can make it not do this so i  can use the video call?
I don't think it is the cam cause it shows my movement on the cam, it's just the MSN what freezes.

Any ideas on how to stop this or why it's doing this?

Check to make sure your web cam drivers are up to date.
