I think it'd be cool to have a feature that allows you to hear a sound when you still have the window open and someone sends a message.  I noticed this feature on Trillian when I used it about 2 years ago and it's one of the only things i miss.

Dont Msg Plus 3.0+ and Msn Messenger 6.0+ both have this feature?

no.....

its not possible now. but its possible to still be added in the future.

Nope, It will make a noise if youre not currently in the chat window, but if you're in it, it just remains silent.

I can see how some people may find this useful, I hope either Microsoft implement this in MSN Messenger 6.3 (they won't care so I doubt it)...Or Patchou finds a way to do it

microsoft always says they'll look into it and they never really do....

it's actually not hard... using packet sniffer it can be done in minutes =/

only problem: i don't know packet sniffers

cant patchou do it, since plus can detect when a message is sent, otherwise logging wouldnt work.

I missed a message from someone because someone sent a message just before I minimized the window and I clicked in it and out. It would be handy to have that feature.
