Ok seems I can load text plugins that have an installer with them.  Is it possible to make installers for the sound plugins?  Would be great if that were possible.

I think it would help those with older Windows platforms... Such as Windows ME.

usually plugins come with an installer or a text file with the instructions for installation. There is no diference between "text plugins" or "sound plugins". Internally they are the same, just that both behave differently. (have different features).

Do you have any problem with a plugin in particular?

Win ME is old, but not too much, a lot of people are still using Win98 (and older ones)

Ok I can't get any of the sound plugins to work. I have downloaded a bunch of them. My plugins application only seems to work if I have the Messenger plus installer thing and use that.

My plugins application does not recongnize that I have installed the sounds plugins to the Messengerplus3/ pluggins folder. I do not have access to them to configure them. They don't show as installed and activated in my plugins application.

I donno... it seems that I need to direct the application to the files or something. I am just letting folks know that none of the sound plugins work for me as they are.

for sound plugins, usually you have to install the sounds after you install the plugin... have you tried, fro example, audiator? do you get any error? don't you hear the sounds? can you hear plus sounds or any other sound (mp3s, etc...)?

Ok if its a matter of installing the plugin then the sounds how do I do that? I thought I just had to unzip the file into the Messenger Plus3/ Plugins directory???

I am willing to reinstall. Is there a separate place for the dll files??? 

Have not installed the audiator... but I do hear the Messenger plus sounds that come with send sound command and I am able to play mp3s and all the other windows sounds that play when using windows and various programs.

usually you have to unzip the file somewhere else and execute the installer, if there's any. In case that there isn't any installer, read the file named readme.txt or similar. There should be instructions to install the plugin. If you can't find such file, tell us what plugin you're trying to install, where you downloaded it from, who's its author, try to contact him, etc...

Thanks for your help! Finally got sound plugins to work... Just had to relocate dll files in plugins folder... not in their original folders that they came in when unzipped.
