O.P. PowerBook? iBook?
Alright, i've been thinking about getting a mac laptop for a long time... but i just confused myself with the following websites:

www.apple.com/powerbook
&
www.apple.com/ibook

now i read the descriptions and all.... but .... wth is the difference?

Is it just the fact that the two look different and that the iBook is a lot more simplistic in terms of layout?

Or is there some big difference i'm missing....

Actually, that's not 100% true - you can get a program like Virtual PC and run Windows-based programs on a MAC (though they can't be too CPU intensive). MSN Messenger and Plus! should be fine

WAY TO GO OFF TOPIC! suprisingly, many people buy computers regardless of how the instant Messaging is.

That being said, MSN MEssenger for Mac is suprisingly lacking in the newer featurees, but that might be jsut temporary

I doubt it would be only temporary.
The MSN Messenger for Mac team is seperate to the standard MSN Messenger team and it is unlikely Microsoft will ever put enough money into the Mac version for it to have the same features as the Windows version.

Actually, Microsoft gives tons of support to the Mac Business Unit. HAve u seen Microsoft Office 2004 (for the Mac)? ITs a great program.  and there is new version of MSN Messenger for Mac being tested at the current time.
