My computer is in its dying days and profiles keep corrupting so recently i've mooved everything to a new profile (making some programs not work correcty )


So my question is how can i backup (where is the file that has) my email settings in it, because as with firefox also fudged up but i found a bookmarks.html so i just copied that over and voila. i was wondering if anyone knew if i could do a similar thing with thunderbird

Basically thunderbird loads nothing up at all its all white i want to completely rid my system of all files of thunderbird then install it again but still have my email settings saved, any suggestions?

C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Thunderbird

That's the directory with all your Thunderbird settings (and e-mails), all you need to do is copy that to

C:\Documents and Settings\[NEW USERNAME]\Application Data\Thunderbird

gotcha i was looking in mozilla and i could only see fox and sun no tbird

I can use it all great in safe mode just not in normal mode

Odd. That folder has all your settings so I don't know what causes that...
