I had the same error. I attached comctl32.ocx, place this file in the same folder as where PlusTweak is, extract it and PlusTweak will work fine 
Edit: newer ocx

This worked like a charm to get the tweaks program running.
However, none of the changes that I'm making to ctclistfont are showing up in messenger...

Did you close MSN Messenger whilst tweaking? Have you restarted MSN?

Ive tried tweaking it with both MSN closed and open. Ive re-started it both times.
Im changing the font, font size, and boldness and then hitting the change button and closing the Tweaks window.
restarting MSN results in no change to the font.
very odd.

I am not sure about this, but I believe this (the contact list format thing) doesn't work on MSN Messenger 7.
Because since I upgraded my MSNM I lost the ability to change the contact list's font.
If you're using MSNM7, then maybe that's the problem. If not, make sure you exit MSNM completely and see if it changed.

Confirmed, i just tried it myself...i even downloaded a newer version (of the ocx) and put it in C:\windows\system32
MSN 7 probably doesn't allow these changes anymore

Hmm . That sucks.. I think the font in the contact list in 7.0.0632 is a bit too small |
