I have a problem where msn closes as soon as i open a convo window (It signs in okay) Now this only happens on one of my accounts. The other accounts i use this dosent happen.

okay i tested it a bit.

i uninstalled plugins one at a time to isolate the problem.

It definately appears to be something caused by msg plus.

When msn crashes, it is still actually open as a process in the Task manager.

Killing the process dosent seem to do anything though

Again, I hate giving this solution because it looks crappy, but I can't seem to find a good solution for this, so it may help.
Start > Control Panel > Add\Remove Programs > Uninstall both Messenger Plus and MSN Messenger > Reboot your computer > Download MSN Messenger and install it, if it works fine, install Messenger Plus. Does the problem still happen?

I think it's related to polygamy, I only have this problem on my second account, so my first account runs fine and then when I open a second MSN window, sign in, then open a convo it crashes the second MSN instance.

I'm using the StuffPlug-NG polygamy option not mess patch or A-Patch though I do use mess patch.

Yes I believe that is the case. I did what anubis suggested, and it seemed to work fine.

I too use Stuffplugs polygamy.

I'm just gonna wait for an update because I don't want the hassle of redownloading everything and it's not too urgent.

If it is related to polygamy and to be more precise StuffPlug-NG's polygamy patch, then disable the plugin and use a hard patch to enable polygamy and test this again. This is the only way to make sure it is/isn't StuffPlug-NG's polygamy...

Incase it isn't a bug with StuffPlug's polygamy soft patch, whch seems likely, there was a recent similar problem that was resolved by doing the following.

Tools > options > general > 'sign-in accounts and passwords' > then click change and then delete all accounts, then exit and reopen MSN Messenger.

Personally I can't see why that works, however it did fix this problem for someone else. Since you can add accounts back again with minimum hassle it is worth a try.

i am running two accounts and i deleted one off that list because it had saved my password when i didint want it to but it still has saved my password and its still there. when i look on that list my account isnt there so i know that doesnt work...
