well that didn't work either - forgot to mention I do get notifications when users go offline, just no sign-in pop-up.

Do you have anything else running with MSN Messenger? Other patches/plug ins?

Other than msg plus, I have another plug-in that is currently disabled, I will try to remove it and see if that helps.

it's called moody - I don't like it so I wanted it removed anyway.
