I don't know how to do it ( ), but why would you want to remove it? It may come in handy when you plug in an mp3 player/a digital camera to get your pictures off and guarantee a stable file transfer...

well i dont want it there b/c its just taking up space on my sys tray and its only there for my printer i mean is there a way i can get my printer off of my safely remove hardware list and still be able to use my printer

with Windows Xp you can rightclick your taskbar and click Properties, and then next to Cleanup Not Active Icons click Adjust and select the safely remove icon and select Always Hide
P.S: My OS is dutch, so i'm not sure about the names of the buttons, but they should be almost correct.

well i wanted the safely remove icon not to show at all not to just go into that little hidden part where all u have to do is press the arrow to make it apear again but o well im just getting annoyed by it but thanks anyways.
