Meh, that research is full of propaganda of long-living people. No one will ever live more than 150+ years, and (if this 3000-years thing were true) I doubt it'll be something cheap.

But the main use would be for those who are born with a rare disease in which they age much faster than normal people.

i dont it would be good like every 1000 years there is always massive extintion, either something big hits the earth, wars, humans detroy the enviorment (which is already happening)..everythig ends, everytime you breath you get older, just enjoy life as it is meant to be, everything has an end even you and the world.

i read bout this in the newspaper two days back...i really dont believe its possible or even if its possible, its not right...we are playing with the rules of nature!

Eventually the laws of probability catch up with you and you'll die in an accident; lightning strike; get hit by a meteor etc etc etc

yes but it would be pretty cool, i can say i lived throuh two millenia and change my signature phrase to 'Come drink from my fountain of knowledge' lol

I'm afraid 18 years of live is getting even too long and tormenting for me...

Well, we can do a lot of things if we can die at 1000 years old. I must say that technology will advance and everything will be out of control...like war, pollution, whatever :\

Could be used on certain animal species that are in danger of extinction.
