O.P. Sad  Printer Problem, Help Me Please!
i have a printer-scanner. hp psc 1310 series.  yesterday, i put in a new black hp cartridge. but now, whenever i give the print command, the test page is printed and not the document i want to print. this is the every time. also, i threw away the old cartridge. i tried resintalling the driver, no help!
can someone help me out with this?

i have a 950 series, ive nvr had this problem, but have you made sure you have aligned the cartridges first?

yeah i kept the test page on the scanner and pressed the scan button..thats alignment. i did it, no use.

You maybe reinstalled the drivers but it wasnt a fresh install. Try uninstalling first the drivers, then restart your pc and reinstall drivers. Also check the control panel of the printer.

Have you got some paper jammed and pulled it out the front because i did this once and i broke my printer and it had to be sent off for repair i have hp 1215 all-in-one:)

i don't think this is the problem, because there would be trouble obtaining the paper from the tray, this is just software trouble

yeh, definately sounds like a software problem. try maybe re-installing the entire HP software suite? you can download it from their website

Check your printer log?  Maybe there is a big ass queue?

Control Panel -> Printers -> Double click on your printer name, see if you see alot of things in the list box.

I have the same printer and sometimes something similar happens to me, it gets stuck on printing task and in order to fix it I have to unistall all the software that came with it and reinstall it completely...
