OK, well I was messing about on Plus! Tweak and had a play with the tabbed sidebar colours. I decided that I preffered the original option so selected 'Default' and the 'Change'.

However, the change may be the default option but it has not actually restored it to how it was before. In the past the background colour was the same as the frame colour chosen for a specific contact, and the inner tab colour I can't recall. Now though, the background tab colour is the default blue regardless of what colour the contacts' border colour is. The inner tab is grey too which it wasn't before.

If anyone could help me with restoring it to its natural setting that would be great.

Just delete the correct registry key.

Start>Run: regedit

Make sure you delete the correct keys, you can serioulsy mess you computer up.

Took me ages to find in the registry (eventually cnsidered using the search funtion, duh!) but it has worked a treat.
