O.P. [Setup] -> Is32Bits
While I was translating this section I didn't quite understand what was really ment by "Press OK to download a compatible version of Messenger Plus! is available."

Does pressing OK button check if there's a compatible version available or does it start downloading instead? For now I use the second one, but if anything changes, let me know.

I guess it starts downloading directly. The entry is, I presume, for possible future 64bit-only Plus! releases. Not that I'm saying there will be any, I am really just having a guess.
That is, if Patchou would release a 64-bit Plus! and someone attempted to run it on a 32-bit Windows, then the message would show up (and would download a 32-bit version which would of course exist) :)

You see, the problem is with the sentence itself:
"Press OK to download a compatible version of Messenger Plus! is available."

From the [Setup] -> Is64Bits section I found this:
"Press OK to check if a compatible version of Messenger Plus! is available."

It's quite easy to understand. Currently, Plus! is programmed for 32 bits processors, which are widely used. But with the arrival of 64 bits processors, Patchou might make a 64-compatible version.

When a 32 bits user tries to install a 64 bits Plus!, the 1st message will appear because there was, is and will always be a 32 bits compatible version of MsgPlus!. When you click OK, it will download directly.

When a 64 bits user tries to install a 32 bits Plus!, the 2nd message will appear because Patchou may not have created a compatible version yet. When you click OK, it will check if so.

Do you understand my crappy explanation a bit? :)

ops... r_k is right, there's a typo in the file. Here's the correct sentence:
Is32Bits=You are currently using a 32bits version of Messenger.\nPress OK to download a compatible version of Messenger Plus!.

(basically, jsut remove the "is available" at the end). The message for 32bits indicates that a version is ready for download, the message for 64bits just tells the user a version may be ready (because there's none yet but there probably will be with Vista 64).
