I have a motherboard with onboard video and and AGP slot. I have an agp card the Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro card. Now when I put in my saphire card the system doesn't boot it boots with the onboard card. The board is P5V800-MX now my question is why?..I enabled the card in my bios but still doesn't work

Not all PCs are alike either... ... So with a new PC you might have to do things differently.
Also, cards differ. I had a replacement card when my real card was broken, it didn't require any extra power but my main card does. By the looks of the card you have, I say you would need to plug it in.
