if you look in general chit chat you'll see that my "Forum Characters" thread is "half-stickyed"

what exactly does that do to the thread?

It means it won't be deleted when a massive spam & shit purge is executed.

Actually, the search script doesn't recognize them at all. I think that was a suggestion someone made.

The "half-sticky" (AKA "important") distinction exists so that important threads can be easily identified. That helps me avoid accidentally deleting them during mass pruning. Not every important thread can be sticky... that would be a mess.

Of course, lately I haven't been doing any mass pruning at all...

well you should implement it, it's a pretty good idea

those are the ones with a lightbulb right?... The half-stickied threads are almost useless unless you do implement the search thing.

What does it actually mean if it is Stickied. Yeah I know I'm lame for asking but meh

It means the thread is quite important, for example, contains useful information.

And will stay at  the top of the forum...

Oooh I thought it meant something like that. But how come only some of them that say Sticky have a lightbulb and some don't?
