 | | O.P. How to add a new button underneath the PSM? Hi, would appreciate it if someone can help me. I am wanting to add a button exactly like the Messenger Plus button to the dashboard but instead for the use of MessengerDiscovery, as i want all the buttons together. Is this possible? if so, how?
ive added a mockup of what i need help on.

This is within Windows Live Messenger.

 Thank u for ur time.

 | | RE: How to add a new button underneath the PSM? I don't believe that this is possible at this time. I believe the only way you could have an MDX button there would be to have an option in Messenger Discovery.
You can suggest it at the MDX forums and maybe the creater would add an option to be able to put a button there. It's worth a try.

Edit: I don't use Mess Patch myself. Why don't the WLM team just make those buttons visible anyway? They'd be so useful.

I'm going to be looking into putting an icon there for Phoenix Live, but I don't think you can just add one for MD: how is it going to interface with MD?

the cog icon opens messenger options window and the book thing is a sign out button, both are added through mess patch |

It's for buttons in general. If you know how to get a button there, then there's nothing to stop you putting one there if you want to. |

 | | O.P. RE: How to add a new button underneath the PSM? bt that involves some next coding method.
I was thinking more of using ResHack, like import the icon from MDX into the msgsres.dll, then making a button appear next to the ones under the PSM with the MDX logo and hyperlinked to its settings window.

In MD Live, the contact list hook was removed due to certain problems with it conflicting with the plus icon in the previous builds, I'll see if I can talk matt into including it again as it was sort of a nifty thing. Btw one cannot just "hyperlink" to the settings window. 56656E692C 20566964692C 2056696369 |
