O.P. Can't use "paste function"

I've discovered that on Live Messenger it's not possible to copy and then paste a name into the Display Name box. Is there a way round this?

Well, if you want to use your contacts name you can just type this into the conversation window: /nick (!N)

If you are using messenger plus...

Edit: If you mean you can't pop up a menu and press paste, then simply place your cursor in the conversation window and press "CTRL" and "V".
