On my desktop, half of the icons are not showing up (See screenshot for more details)
They used to but now they don't and i have no idea why
Anyone know why?

try restarting, my icons randomly disappeared the other day.

If there normal windows icons then a reboot should sort it.

btw, I see that all the icons are way different than the standard default Windows icons. Do you use any skin or something which might interfear with the proper workings of the icon cache or layout of Windows in general? Try to uninstall the skin first...

Nope, tried many different things on google, none seemed to work. Tried restarting about 10 times, still no luck

Bump, anyone got any other ideas?

I had a simular problem to this when I upgraded one of my programs (forget what it was) and I cba looking for a solution and just deleted the shortcuts and made new ones manually.  It worked and hasn't happened since (though I haven't updated that program again).  I know it's a bit of effort but it worked for me and that's the main thing.

When I install new programs, the shortcuts come out fine, meh, oh well

I'm sure there must be a better way but I couldn't think of anything and I know this way works.
