For some, but not all, of my contacts when I want to add a custom notification or view the contact information, by right clicking the contact, the options are greyed out and unaccessable for that contact.
I tried reinstalling both Windows Live! Messenger and MSGPlus! but the same contacts are still unavailable in this way.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you have any additional additional info like another alternative email in WLM's contact information itself for this contact? If so, try to remove that information: right click the contact in the contact list and choose "Edit Contact" > "Contact"
Also, certain Windows addons (in particular those who manipulate windows) might prevent the proper working of Plus!.
