O.P. Monitor setup opinions
I want some peoples opinions on what I should use for my two monitors that I have. First of all, I do have 2 computers. One is a server though (running Win 2003), and doesn't get as heavily used as my workstation PC.

I have used dual head before I got my new workstation (old workstation is now the server) and it worked great for me. Now today, i finally bought a DVI to VGA adapter to allow dual head with my new vid card. In the process of looking for multi-monitor software, I found something called Synergy that allows 2 PCs to share the same keyboard and mouse.

Thats what I have set up right now. What I'm trying to decide, is if I should continue with Synergy, or use dual head. Both have their pros and cons, and I can't decide which to use. This is where you vote.

Also, has anyone else used a similar setup with Synergy before?

You could use a remote desktop on the other screen when you need to use the win2k3 machine, its nice, simple, and if you run it fullscreen on the second monitor you don't even notice a difference, and you can share they keyboard and mouse. On the other hand there was a program called maxivista that allows you to do something similar to synergy, you might wanna look into it.

I'd definatly go dual head with a remote solution, either Remote Desktop or VNC on the server.
