O.P. Can I have a different status for different contacts?
Hi,

Sometimes I like to be online to some users and offline to the rest at the same time is this possible in MSN/Messenger Plus?

No. The only way to appear offline to some and be online to others is to block the ones you don't want to see you online.

So can blocking be temporary?  And we they know I have blocked them?

Sure, after you blocked somebody all you have to do is hit the same button/command again to un-block them.

Social engineering :p, but here's no real way of knowing who blocked you.
