Hello there,

I'm using wlm 8.5 with windows vista. When somebody sends me a message only sometimes it flashes. When it does flash it stops after a few seconds.

How can i get my wlm to flash until i click on it ?

Are you set to busy status?

Or have you installed any scripts which have the potential to alter/interfere with the flashing?

No scripts either.

Getting the same problem here...getting very frustrated with it. Happening with the new 2009 version: 14.0.8050.1202

Do you have Messenger Plus Live installed?

Plus isn't compatible with that version of Messenger at the moment and so it will cause this problem.  In order to resolve it, please uninstall Plus, or downgrade Messenger

I'm aware it's not compatible. Didn't think it would cause a problem like that. I'll downgrade - where can I get a previous version?

With the incompatible version of WLM using tabs, the taskbar won't flash. Reported here and here.

All previous versions of Messenger can be downloaded here.

Here's the current compatible versions:

WLM 8.5 + Msg Plus! Live 4.70
WLM 2009 BETA + Msg Plus! Live 4.79 BETA

Note: You should uninstall both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! Live before downgrading.
