Do you have a Netgear DG834G v2 Router?
More info: http://geekswithblogs.net/steveclements/archive/2...34g-v2-router.aspx

Have you tried the connection troubleshooter? What errors do you get?

What is the full error message? Are there any links/buttons to get more information/help?

No i have a bt/yahoo wireless connection(england)

Yes tried the troubleshooter it then displays the error code 8100036. I have been looking on the web and this seems to be a problem for many people at the moment?

Ive googled the problem and tried all suggested fixes but none seem to work - disabling the firewall also doesnt work???

If anyone can help wud be truely grateful

Can you show us some of the methods you have tried? So we do not repeat methods.

First i followed a link that had something to with the command prompt - disable/restrict/enable but this didnt work

i unistalled and then re-installed latest version of msn and made sure the firewall was blocking msn, this also didnt work

After afew days i found this website on www.dotcomUNDERGROUND.com and it told me to do this - START> RUN

2. Type the following:(in RUN box)

regsvr32 Softpub.dll Mssip32.dll Initpki.dll

3. Click on the OK button.

You should now be able to sign-in to your msn messemger or windows live messenger.

Regsrv32 is a command-line tool registers .dll files as command components in the registry. More information on the Regsrv32 command can be found here

This fixed it and ive had no problems since. Thanks people!
