What version of Messenger Plus! are you using?

The last one.  I just downloaded it from here. 4.82

Any patches, like A-patch? or are you using compatibility mode?

Please tell us if you're using a compatibility mode and give us the exact version of Windows 7 you are using. Thanks.

I'm using A-Patch and I'm also using compatibility mode because I hate having an extra "window" of my live ID.

I'm using Windows RTM (shh, don't say a word about that).

Is the compatibility mode the problem? I'm at work now but I can check that when I return. If that fixes it I can live with that extra window.

Confirmed the using Vista (Service Pack 2) compatibility does make aero peek stop working for tabbed chats...

Indeed, compatibility mode is just about that: "compatibility". If you disable it, everythign will go much better (last time we did some tests, we found out that compat mode in Win7 for Messenger also tended to make the whole application much slower sometimes).

Works like a charm now. I'll try to get use to that useless extra windows with my name on it. =)

There was actually a variation of this issue in Windows Vista. Start + Tab and Alt + Tab would not display a live preview of what was going on in the conversation window with tabbed conversation enabled (possibly without as well, however I no longer have a computer with Vista and Plus! to check on).

As well, Windows shake seems to not work with Plus! on the RTM (SHH not necessary, hurray for MSDNAA!) 64-bit version of Windows 7 (if you like I can verify on 32-bit RTM of Windows 7 as well). Newest version of everything installed. No other patches except Plus! Tabbed conversations on.

As well, there seems to be a random brown colour showing up around the border of the conversation preview (see printscreen). The black bars were added by me.

Edit: As well, I know it's not meant for this, but if you could figure out a way to get compatibility mode working, we would love you to death. I hate the extra window thing and between live previews and Messenger being in my tray, I'll take Messenger being in my tray.
