The instructions are on that page, as clear as can be.

It's just another method of doing a hard reset, which you say you've already done, so it wouldn't help anyway.

Take your phone to Nokia Service Centre or try posting on their support forums or try emailing Nokia Support.

Mine is on:

Software version: 50.00.005
Software version date: 23-03-2010

Custom version: 50.00.005.C02.01
Custom version date: 26-03-2010

I wish my phone would update to 50.0.005, but it insists that 40.x is the latest version. The website says differently...



Looking on their support forums, many appear to not like it, so guess I should be thankful.

Updates are not released for all product codes, GSM Bands and countries at the same time.  It can take a month or so before an update is widely available.

Try checking through the Ovi Suite, that's how I got the update

i went to nokia orginal branch in EGYPT i told u before it sucks...I give them my mobile they said they don know that error ..then they told me w8 till the professinal comes .i said ok when they came they said to me >> YOUR PHONE UPDATE TO SOFTWARE  OF NOKIA N97 INSTEAD OF NOKIA 5800

You'll have to research into downgrading your firmware.

Some say it's not possible, others say it can be done.
