Are you sure you downloaded it from the scripting database? Normally, it should just be a ZIP file with a single CHM file inside.

Alternatively, you can view the documentation online at MPScripts.net, although this version isn't always up-to-date. There are some differences but for beginning script developers, this shouldn't matter too much. At the moment of writing, the online version dates from March 15th, 2008 (v4.60) whereas the official version dates from March 2nd, 2009 (v4.81).

Norton is just being Norton and throwing around false positives to give you a false sense of security.

Disable Norton and download it.

Convert what into a Messenger Plus Script pack?

If you've created a Zip file and want to turn it into a script you just need to rename it from .zip to .plsc.

The zip will be showing as empty if Norton cleans it out on download.

Disable Norton, clear your internet cache and then re-download it, or use one the mirror here:

I actually started updating the documentation yesterday as I noticed it was out of date, should be up in a few days
