Of course. Maybe you didn't get me. That only happens when ---+[Matty]+--- or |rolando| reply (and maybe other people too). I think that's due to their nicks. They don't begin with a "normal" character (ie. a letter). Just see a normal mail:

I still think it's your mail reader.

Or the mailer program on this server...

But definitely not MyBB.

My guess is that the mail reader thinks those are quotes.

Example mail message with quotes:

Some people might use other characters for the quotes, such as:

User A's reply
| User B's reply
|| User A's original message

See what I'm getting at?

The line starting with "|" (or other non-alphanumeric characters) is thought to be a quote. Your mail reader wraps it, then puts what it thinks are the quote markers in front of each line so it's easier to understand.

I'll do some more research on this theory...

Yep, I get you, but I really think that's not the problem. Because:
[*]The mails are sent as text, not html, and Outlook just displays the text.
[*]When I read the mails at the uni, I use a webmail and (if I can remember well) I have the same problem

And as I think I said, with ---+[Matty]+---, the strange lines begin with ---+, ie: only the first characters at the nick, however, with |rolando| it is something like (just now i haven't any mail with his nick)

OE uses (like Mozilla) a system which interprets your message for replies, it seems OE doesn't do this very well :/ It doesn't have to be HTML for that. In fact with HTML you won't get this 'bug'. That's because HTML has his own encoding. And I guess this is the cause of this bug. Normaly if a mail hasn't an encoding specified, the default is used. But it seems that OE does something wrong with this and thinks that the emails are "quoted-printable" for some reason. A typical message like that should have this header: Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable. But the mails recieved from the board don't have this header, so... strange...
maybe if this header is added to the mails, it will work: Content-transfer-encoding: 8bit

Blah...well... I'll can't explain it good in english... so...never mind this if it doesn't make sense. But I think it has todo something with this...
