Well I've just had enough of WS_FTP. So I'm asking for suggestions for a good, simple, stable FTP client, so I can upload a few files to my friend and download some too. Would prefer a free one of course.

Thanks boys and girls!

EDIT: Any good suggestions for a good FTP server would be very much welcomed too :gfdrin:

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have used SmartFTP before, in fact my brother uses it, but I just can't seem to fall in love with it like some people. :undecided:

I am currently using FlashFXP, which is not free, but there is a 30-day trial, so I am giving it a go. So far, I seem to be getting along with it very nicely. Thanks for the suggestion chris!

Now I just need a server. My mate uses GuildFTPd so I think that's worth a go. Am yet to find anywhere that gives clear indications what's good and bad in these areas.

Thanks again chaps (y)

Wow old thred...

I use explorer :-/

There's several things that make IE better to use than any other:
- It's on my quick launch cos i use it for other things
- It loads way faster than any other FTP client and it's often already open for me
- It does the drag and drop thing way easier than smartftp
- Predictive urls... u don't have to navigate or save subdirectories to a list
