i have just changed from internet explorer to mozilla firefox.  and i was wondering if there is a way/option to open External links (links to other sites) to open in a new tab rather than a new window ???

If you have a mouse wheel, mouse over the link and click it with that.

It will open a new tab with whatever link you were over.

the one and only extension needed for the best tabbed browsing for Firefox imo

Ctrl+click works, or if you like using the computer, Ctrl+Enter

have u tried to set Firefox as your default browser?
