erm, that is EXACTLY what we (Carlos Cool and I) were talking about in the last posts...

OpenConvo works great for me (MSN Messenger 7), but every day or two it keeps going to 100% CPU usage :(. I've also caught it using ~20% CPU one time, and even when it's running normally it uses 2-3% CPU (I have a AMD64 3200+). Not good :(.

Are there any alternatives to OpenConvo? I used Stuffplug before and it worked beautifully, but that feature was apparently disabled in the newer versions. Very surprising and disappointing :(.

Please read this entire thread (it isn't that big) to know the answer and why such a question doesn't exactly make sense ;)

(It's not that I'm not wanting to help you, but you could've found the answer easly if you read the thread first ;))

RE: OpenConvo PLUGIN SOLUTION - Update: (fix) for MSN 7
To begin with, the "open window" notifiers will not work in 7.x versions very reliable (as you can read in this thread)...

And as far as I understand it from the msnfanatic news (didn't investigated it properly yet) 7.0.0777 had a different beheviour then all the other 7.x versions so that it even didn't send a notification to the switchboard at all (except when requesting DPs), aka it was a bug in 7.0.0777...

In other words, forget what has been said there on msnfanatic as it should be considered a "bug" in this "open window notification" case. Thus, to make it short: nothing has been changed and the same things said in this thread still apply concearning msn messenger 7.x...

If anyone can confirm this or correct this, please do (TB? Inky?)
