can you get a plugin or change something in the registry so that you can extent the ammount of characters that you can have in a name?

Nope. The Protocol is dictates how many characters are in a name it doesn't matter what software you use...

becauce sometimes you want to write song lyrics and you just cant fit that one word in, or just that one sentence and i just wondered if the nick can be changed so you can have more room to write

lolz surprising that u can fit the entire  lyrics for a song in ur display name

i dont mean like a whole song lyrics i jus mean like a whole chorus or whole verse and normally ur just short of a few words
