I'm having this bug ever since messenger6 and i didn't know it was related to Plus! until a friend of mine succeeded in adding more while msgplus.exe was disabled. It didn't work for me though
So that's the story how i discovered it was a bug, and i know some other people that have the same problem.

Now, today on #MsgPlus.nl there was a guy that also had the problem. He has a limit of 36, and his daughter has 240-something in her list, but both can't add more.

Someone said to me this was fixed in latest msgplus, so i donwloaded the .01 update but i'm still having the same problem, and so is that other guy.

Hope there's anything you can do about this.

I would try upgrading to msn 6.2 since msg plus 3 was designed to be compatible with that version

Hello Rian, and welcome to the forums

Plus has nothing to do with adding new custom emoticons, that's up to messenger. I'd suggest you to reinstall messenger (the version you have or the last update: 6.2.0137). Btw, when you try to add new emoticons, does messenger display any message saying why you can't add them?

but it's also compatible with older versions

Rite at this moment there is someone in #MsgPlus.nl who has this prob. Version of MSN 6.2.0137 and plus 3.01.94. Reinstalling has been tried already for both progs, still the prob isnt solved

For now i advised CE/DP backup wizard but well that isnt really the solution

I never experienced these probs myself.

None at all, but when i add them, they don't even show up in the quick icons panel. I can send them to my contacts, but they only see the text, where i see the emoticon. They're removed from my emoticon list at next msn login.

I even had it before a format, so can't be the reason

And i know at least 3 other people that have the same problem + that one at #MsgPlus.nl
I'm refusing to update to 6.2 because of the fact that it replaces the emoticons, and i don't like that
If anyone could tell me the problem is definitly fixed in 6.2, i might update.

i think you dinit proply intall msn 6 and try un insaling it and installing 6.2 and do the the same with plus cuze its designed to work with msn 6.2
