whenever i try and login at school it just goes to the cannot find server page, but i can browse the forums fine.

They use

Shuttle PCs 2ghz, 512mb RAM
Windows XP Pro
Internet Explorer
RM Connect as the network software

that happens sometimes to me too. It's due to the server load.

but this is at 8AM GMT in the morning, there's virtually no1 on the forums and ive NEVER been able to sign in

Maybe your school don't allowed cookies to be created? This would obviously stop anyone being signed in.

BTW, the sever load has been known to be high at various times of the day. Time really isnt a factor.

This happens at our schools down here in tennessee... They have a filter and it filters this out...It classifies it as "Inapropriate" lol and I have to logon as a teacher to get to use it..

Pretty much most public school computer systems use filtering software like Bess. It doesn't allow any computer on the network to access 'inappropriate' things - obvious things like porn and lingerie sites, but also game sites (like Gamespot) and free mail sites.

I'm guessing mybboard.com is blocked on the system, since it's a sign-in forum site.

During the school year, (my school uses Bess), I found the template they used for blocking sites, so I could block www.[friendsname].com under the category of "Self-portraits," but it looks like the network was shut down for the summer. Oh well. I'll try in the new school year.
