thanks for the file but when i try to install it it keeps freezing part way through the installation

try clearing your temp files for your IE? maybe

your cache hasn't got anything to do with it. Is it always on the same moment where everything freezes?

Since Messenger Plus! has its own custom installer try this. Save the File do your desktop then shutdown your computer. When you turn it back on immediatly start tapping F8, this should load up a startup menu. From the list select Safe Mode with Networking. Then press enter on Windows XP Home Edition (Or Pro, You wont see this step if you dont have 2000,XP, or 2003 server) Log into your account at the welcome screen and click yes on the box that will pop up saying you are running in safe mode. Try and install from there.

Yes it is the same spot that it keeps freezing

I tried installing in safe mode but i still froze. got any more ideas?

Try the exact same thing i said above but logged into the Administrator account. And download the file. and try and install it

Another thing you can try is have the Windows Task Manager open (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and have it loaded to the process tab and watch to see how much ram Plus! uses and the cpu usage of it.
