Ya my friend still has Windows 98 and it seems to not be able to connect to any Microsoft Service Including MSN Messenger and Microsoft Update... Once I saw Windows Update not working some I knew something was really wrong.

While I was at her house I install Adware 6 ( 425 Adware gone still didn't work.. )and AVG Antivirus ( Was still scaning when I left..).

I've went though that whole computer and didn't work.. Help Please. Thanks.

Reboot Machine and tab F8 once it turns back on (like shows the BIOS revision and such)
Choose Command Prompt form the list
At the C Prompt type in scanreg /restore
try choosing a date from here when it was last working

Not System Restore, but there is a Command Line registry restoration.

neomatter: you can also try scanreg /fix

There is a thread on this board that is about errors when connection to the MSN Network.
