O.P.
When a contact doesn't have Messenger Plus! and you type an action message like "/me is doing some stuff", then he/she will see:

«I is doing some stuff»

A nice alternative, but then the sentence isn't very correct I think....
So, can this be change to "me" instead? Although it still sounds a bit dodgy, it sounds way better then "I"...

And of course for compatibility Plus! should still reconize and convert the «I...»-format.

EDIT: I've edited the post a bit, I hope this makes it more clearer ;)

Its a nice idea, but i think the Message " is writing a message' is inside the msgland.dll so it is actually local. So.. you can change it, but the change would only be local :(

I think thats right anyways *-)

Cookie means the action message aka "/me"...what he said about "«I is typing an action message»" was just an example ;)

Chrono asked about the 'User is typing' message.

I don't think there's much point changing the 'I' to 'me' tbh. As you said Cookie, it'll still sound dodgy, and anyway, if the contact wants to see the message porperly, they should get Plus.

Err... No. 'me...' doesn't sound as bad as 'I...'. So I t should be changed. At least "me does..." is used colocquially and "I does..." is used only in Westerns :refuck:

No matter what you change it to it'll still be dodgy...a nicer alternative would be to make the letter change the I to (!NP)...That way at least the message would make sense no matter what...don't know if there's anything wrong with that, I haven't particularly got my thinking cap on today...
Edit: "I is doing some stuff" sounds something like Ali G would say...

I understand Cookie's suggestion, however I don't agree. Why? Easy: If plus sends «Me is doing some stuff» then older versions of plus wouldn't be able to recognize it as a /me command. That's the reason Patchou gave to Chrono.

Couldn't you just go into word filter and enter 'I is' and replace it with 'I am.'  I mean you've said it, I is isn't correct so how often would you type it.  I think that would be a good alternative to the problem instead of having Patchou go and change his program.
