not sure if this is the right part of the forum...but,

ive extracted the:

//P4P 1.0 Type Library

from the messenger exe, i can add it into the references in vb, but i cant set the control eg.

I get an error of 'Expected user-defined type, not project'

Can it be done or wont it work? if so can anyone tell me how?

Any help would be appreciated, thanx!

you shouldn't do that because it's illegal. You should use the libraries from windows messenger

i don't know if you can do anything with that, but one thing is sure: Here, we're not allowed to talk about that.

What tool did you use to extract the typelib?

If anyone wants them, I've exported all 6 type libraries. I haven't tried them yet, and I don't know if they can be used in C++ or just VB, so you'll have to find out I'm afraid.
