Here is my situation

I just did a Clean install of XP Pro with all the security updates installed. I have Symantic Anti virus installed

I have the latest version (v6.2) MSN messenger install with MSN plus 3 installed along with Stuff plugins
The Messenger seems to be working fine

But my MSN messenger keep disconnecting

it is not my internet connection
cos I am not downloading anything nor upload, I dont have a router connected to it, only connected to a switch (sharing internet connection with 3 computer) but even with only my computer online, it will still discon ever 30 sec or so.

it will just sign me off, and I will have to sign in again.
it doesnt even auto sign in like be I have my computer format.

Ohhh and I try many diff version of Messenger and MSN plus

tried V6.1 with plus 2.5 et etc

with or without plugins

Still disconnect.~~~~~~

1. Don't double post. That little bit of red text at the top right is the Forum Rules: read them.
2. You say it isn't your connection, but you have a switch. Try connecting directly to the Internet without your switch.

If u have a firewall, check inthere if MSN messenger is allowed to go on the net. If it is an u still can't stay logged in try the program (msnservers.zip) i attached to my post here: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=28...d=273157#pid273157

I never had problems with the connection

and Window messenger seems to work fine right now.

Now in MSN Mess, I am getting the 0X800**** message.

I know for sure it is not the connection.
and I dont have a firewall set up

What is the full error number?

My Messenger keeps the connection alive by regularly pinging the server. I tried looking for an option to set it, but can't seem to find one.
