I enjoy the feature that allows me to make my own emoticons. I am wondering if there is a way to delete (for example) the and replace it with another emoticon of my choice. In general I find the latest edition of Messenger emoticons to be rather ugly and annoying and I'd love the option of replacing them.

If this isn't currently a possible feature, I'd love to see it in the future

i think i saw TB say somewhere about adding this to StuffPlug-NG, but i haven't seen it added yet ! maybe he will do it in the next release.


however if you replace it, your contact will not see the replaced icon. there will just see the normal msn icon

Stuffplug ng allows you to make custom emoticons with already existing shortcuts. So you can make emotes with :D or :P

That's great news. I don't mind about others not being able to see the emoticon so much. I'll check out StuffPlug/Studd Plug.

When you use stuffplug other people actually see the emoticons you sent

Or you could use a quick text.
Set it to replace :D for example with :smile:.
Then when you type :D it replace's it with :smile:
