Same here (on both :P), I've only used IPB 1.1 and Phorum 1, so I won't comment on these. ^o)

Mybb might be less cluttered than PhpBB, though.

What guido said is what I was trying to say but his is in simpler terms...Mybb is less cluttered.

honestly i've run mybb and phpbb from an admin point and i like both. mybb is easier to install. i'm also used to mybb. whatever you feel like choosing.

Ask your host, they should be able to provide you with details on it. Generally the hostname is 'localhost' presuming MySQL is running on the same server as the pages are being served from. If you have a control panel such as HSphere, Cpanel or Ensim they offer tools to manage MySQL users and databases too..

I like mybb cause of its nice layout, i've got used to mybb rc3 now, and its really nice.. i also like this board (rc2), phpbb looks nice, but its also more complicated to work with than mybb.. all in all, i'd chose mybb.

myBB by far. Its easy to customise, updated regually, and easy to mod and edit templates etc.

I have used myBB since January this year and have upgrade from RC2, RC3 and now RC4, all excellent releases and great new features.
