Hi there!
Although this is a real great feature at "Messenger Plus!", I'm now
a bit puzzled why at this specific option, the software has not been
designed to "re-position" the contacts in an ALPHABETICAL ORDER
as well; ie. in accordance to the very first letter in their name...
Indeed, this is a "standard feature" at ICQ, Skype, etc.!!
So I'm now looking forward to your valid feedback...

its a limitation, i.e. messenger plus cant do it.

Indeed there is a difference between a standalone program like ICQ (which can be programmed to do whatever the programmer wants) and an addon like Messenger Plus! (which hooks into an existing program and can only do stuff which the parent program allows).

And since Messenger Plus! uses the "view by email"-list for its custom names, the list is sorted on email-address.

If Patchou finds any other way which enables the sorting of the list, he will implement it immediatly, as this is an old wish/issue...

(Maybe, but I say "maybe", this will be possible in MSN Messenger 7, as it uses different controls for the contactlist then MSN Messenger 6 and previous versions. Although I wouldn't hope for it...)

Anyway, I'm already happy to know now that I'm obviously
not the first one with such a request; he, he!!
Hmm, but in regard of "Messenger 7", I'm afraid "we" have
to dash our hopes for such a feature: Indeed, I already
tested its latest beta version v7.0.0225...

Plus! isn't compatible yet with Messenger 7. A fully compatible version will be released by the end of November.

Yes I know that...and that's why I'm currently
back again to "Messenger 6" (v6.2); and this
ONLY until the end of November...I hope !?
