If you want to make animated movies (like shown in this thread), you need a lot of graphic skills in the first place: Making storyboards, drawing things on paper first, etc...

converting it to flash is only a small minor step...

there are two parts to flash, "designer" and "developer"

designers are people who draws graphic, edit pictures, do animation, etc, they are those people who make pure flash "movies" like the ones posted in the thread

developers are coders, they make script that run in movies to create interactivity. They are the ones that program flash games, etc

usually people are a mix between the two, i personally is more of a developer than a designer. When people think of wanting to make a flash movie, they would usually think to become a designer, never (usually) think of being a developer
