It already appears in your contact's contactlist as an end tag. Like "serpico (studying)" And the busy icon.
Other than that, you can set an autoreplier from the Custom (Persnoalized) Status dialog. Or using the commands. For example: "/busy I'm studying, I won't reply in a while".
I don't know how else you want Messenger Plus! to show your custom status.
