RE: office help
Yes I think you might do some damage to the office if you delete it. I have it set for start up too (thats the defualt I think.) I try it to see. I have the backup disc and I think I know what I am doing so I suggest don't you do it.

Edit : It's merely a shortcut you can delete it if you wish and it won't do harm.

There's really no need to delete it. It's just a safety thing to make sure all the processes and stuff loads to make office run more smoothly...for the sake of a 2kb file, don't delete it...
[Anubis rant]
When do you ever need that essential need for a file of a few kb to fit on your computer, unless you're using a ZX-81 of course...

RE: office help
tbh, the OSA thing (shown in the screenshot) is the most annoying thing of Office and is the first thing that I delete when I install Office.

osa.exe, osa9.exe, or other equivalents (depending on your MS Office version) is a small "tool" which loads common used MS Office components into the memory to help speed up the launch of Office programs. Most people claim there's no difference with or without it. It isn't required anyways, so in short: it is an annoying resource hog that you can safely delete.
