sometimes I get this error

See attachement, don't know if it is the messenger itself or the msgplus!

This window shows up when opening log files made by MSN Messenger, therefore it's not a Plus! bug. Also, note that it says "MSN Messenger" in the title, not "Messenger Plus!".

Remember that MSN Messenger 7 is not meant for public use, and is still in beta testing stage. You should not be using it.

If you are an msn officical tester then you can report this bug at Microsoft.
If you are not an officical tester then you shouldn't be using this version.

Anyway there is a fix for it at http://www.mess.be

Have a look at ScanXMLLogs

So why can you download it from the microsoft site?

The version can be legally downloaded by beta testers. They are not allowed to give out the link to the download. However, some do so anyway.
