O.P. hotmail contact list
hello

i have three hotmails accounts that i also use with msn messenger...

in two of them all my contacts in the msn messenger list also appear in the hotmail contact list.

but in the other account i have 150 contacts in msn messenger but 0 in my hotmail account

why? what's normal? can i choose to have or not to have?

if i remove a contact from the hotmail list that i also have in the msn messenger list will i also remove that contact in the msn messenger list?

and if i remove a contact form the msn messenger list will it also be removed in the hotmail list?

thanks

Log in to the account wich contacts are not in your hotmaillist, go to hotmail and click on contacts.. on top you will see your addy next to the status there's a arrow click that and choose add messenger contacts..a list will appear with all your contacts on that list.

No, one won't touch the other (it has never done so with me...) all you will see changed with ppl you don't have on your MSN list is that the messengericon will not be infront of the contactslist in hotmail anymore. But you could test that easily...remove a contact from the list in hotmail an see if it has done so in messenger aswell and vice versa ;) You can always add em again rite :D

Messenger contacts are normally added to your Hotmail address book (not the other way around though). Removing a contact from messenger will leave the address in Hotmail. However, removing the address in Hotmail removes it from Messenger too.

In theory anyway...

Some of my contacts on messsenger I don't even email so why have them in your hotmail addy book? I don't like how hotmail has that set up. Yahoo has it too.

I don't know why it didn't add those to your hotmail list, maybe servererror =/ Same goes for why it sometimes deletes ppl from msn on removal an other times it doesn't, thats why i suggested to test it ;)

Nothing you can do about it. If you don't like it write Microsoft about it ;)
