Hay I am wondering I have just re wrote my over drive with home edition b4 I had windows xp professional.

Is there in away way that I  can get my programs back that I lost?

but i think what you mean is that you upgraded from winXP home to winXP pro, and you want to recover your progams you lost after the upgrade.

Yes that is what i am asking. i despreatly need the programs and files etc id be ever so greatfull for you help and understanding

The program that Xero_Cool suggested is your only hope.
The program he linked to is an un-deleter, which may be able to recover most of the files.
But this is unlikely because when you re-install windows it formats the hard drive. Wipeing everything.
Meaning the remains of the files will be gone, so they will be un-recoverable.
Try the program any way i might work.
