O.P. What Car?
Ok, here is the deal, last year my dad bought a car of my sister's choice, he'd drive it for a year and then give it to my sister, my sister stupidly chose a Mercedes A-Class, so now my turn has come, except cos im not doing medicine like my sister, i dnt get quite a lavish budget, so i'm thinking of getting the Smart forfour

What do you guys think?

http://automobiles.honda.com/models/model_overvie...owserDetected=True

2005 Honda Civic Coupe. Prices rang from $13,000 to 17,000 USD (which is aprox. £6700 - £8800)

It's a fast, reliable car which has good fuel mileage, a good re-sale value and just looks flat out good :

I can't see how an A Class (prestigious compact family car) compares to a Forfour (simple small car). The Forfour is a cute car, but it isn't half as special as the other Smarts, it's an ordinary small car. I don't know much about it though.

I better keep to myself what I think about that Civic... :P

Anyway, what do you need/want from the car? What's important to you (size, internal space, ride comfort, accessories, handling, performance, style, etc.)?

(BTW - in my opinion, the A Class is Mercedes-Benz's best car nowadays. It's their only special car, the only one that innovates, the only Mercedes I like.)

the A-Class is out of budget.

The kinda thing im looking for is something stylish, that is a good ride, economical and is just fun.

I just noticed that your budget is too low for any cars I could recommend... I can't find any 1.3L/1.4L car within your budget, and I don't know much about cheaper cars. :^) It seems like you'll be best with a very small car like the Toyota Yaris or the new Fiat Panda. :^)

I can't find there anything unique, any original approach that brings a useful solution to the world as the Class A did... And from what I've read, the sports models fail to be truly exciting (except for the huge, powerful, melodious engines).
