RE: Tsunami Charities
It was a real nice thing that patchou did. Already donated all the money i had. Still trying to find ways. Here in a school there was a concert where the teachers had called all famous singers and the money donated went for relief. But there was one colony of ppl who did the same but 4got to take permission of the local authorities so they were in a bit of trouble. But over all i feel almost every country and every individual has done whatever he/she could. If they couldnt give they atleast prayed for the safety of lost ppl and for the souls of lost ones. Even that i feel is important.

He already donates all of the plus! merchandise money to the red cross.

Our school had an own clothes day with the money for being in our own clothes going to the victims of the Tsunami. I donated more money then was needed. I am glad to say our school altogether raised £1500.

I donated my pocket money, and in the end, my school raised around £4220...  My friends John, Dan and partially me convinced the head teacher of our school to let us use the hall, and we're having bands play (inc. Indigo :p [mine, john's and niall's band]) to raise money for the appeal... All money will be going  to the Tsunami appeal :)...

I'll update you on it at a later date.

RE: Tsunami Charities
My school had this idea for a voted girl / voted guy to go on a blind
date together to raise money for the charity.   The newspaper
donated us money, as well as local businesses, and of course the students.
The newspapers were there to witness our blind date
to write about it / take pictures / tape.

But anyway, the school voted on a girl and I ended up winning that.
The guy was some overly tall varsity football player.  We had a good
time getting to know each other and raising money.  It sounds really
weird, but everyone thought a Blind Date to raise money was cute,
cheerful too.  We raised close to 8000 USD.

I'm going to try to get the article(s) in my hand when Valentine's day
comes.

My school had own clothes day and so did every school in the uk.

If all works out that will raise 10million pounds. We are also doing raffles etc to earn £400 to buy them a new boat what will make a new family for a villiage

Our school is pretty much doing their upmost... it seems its really shocked everyone, a lot of people have been putting a lot of effort into trying to raise money for the appeals...

Here are some of the details about the 'gig' on 17th March.

Its called Covers evening and we will be doing covers from different era's, as its St. Patrick's Day, we will also be doing some Irish songs. At the moment, we are trying to get as many bands possible to play, as all of the money raised will go the appeal, nothing else.

At the moment we only have a few bands playing, not many though, but each one with have a while to play, so it won't really matter.
  • Indigo
  • Lost Without Thought
  • No Regrets
  • Plastic Smile
  • ?Kaisier?

We really need to put some more preperation into it, and if anyone is from the warwickshire area and would like to play then it would be great.
